As a rule of thumb for Orlando transfers: a large SUV (like a Ford Expedition) carries 6 passengers with about 5 large suitcases, a transit van carries 10 passengers with about 10 bags, and a Sprinter carries up to 14 passengers with about 12 bags. Strollers, car seats and golf bags take extra space, so count them when you book.

Every week someone asks us “will it all fit?” It is the right question. A vehicle that holds six people doesn’t necessarily hold six people and their luggage for a ten-day trip. Here is how we size it.
Vehicle capacity at a glance
| Vehicle | Passengers | Large suitcases (approx.) | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| SUV (Ford Expedition class) | Up to 6 | About 5 + carry-ons | Families of 4–6 |
| Van (Transit) | Up to 10 | About 10 | Two families, big cruise luggage |
| Sprinter | Up to 14 | About 12 | Groups, reunions, weddings |
“Large suitcase” means a checked bag of about 28–30 inches. Carry-ons and backpacks fit at passengers’ feet or in remaining space.

Count everything, not just suitcases
- Stroller: counts as about one suitcase folded.
- Car seats: installed seats use passenger space; tell us how many.
- Wheelchair or scooter: let us know the type so we can confirm the fit.
- Golf bags, surfboards, diving gear: always mention them.
- Shopping: on the way home, the outlets often add a suitcase or two. See our outlets guide.

Airline and cruise limits worth knowing
- Most U.S. airlines limit standard checked bags to 50 lb (23 kg) in economy; overweight fees are steep. Weigh bags before flying home, especially after shopping.
- Cruise lines don’t usually weigh bags, but cabins have limited storage. Soft-sided luggage is easier to store under the bed.
“Very professional driver that got my family and all our luggage to the airport in a timely and comfortable manner. He even had videos playing for the kids!”— Ray C., Google review · Airport transfer
